Simple SEO Tips to Optimise Your Website for Growth

If you want more people to discover your website organically, search engine optimisation (SEO) is your best friend. But don’t worry - SEO doesn’t have to be technical or complicated. With a few simple changes, you can improve your visibility in search results and attract the right kind of traffic to your wellness or private label site. Here’s how to get started.
Understand What SEO Really Means
SEO is about making your website easier for both people and search engines to understand. It involves using relevant keywords, organising your content, and connecting pages in a way that helps visitors find what they’re looking for - and helps Google recognise that you’re offering value.
Do Basic Keyword Research
Think about what your ideal customer would search for. Tools like Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest can help.
For example: If you're a chiropractor in Brighton, someone might search “back pain relief Brighton” or “chiropractic adjustment near me”.
Use keywords like these in your:
-
Page titles and headings (H1, H2)
-
Paragraph content
-
Image alt text
-
Page URLs (where possible)
Structure Your Website Content Properly
Each page should have:
-
One main heading (H1) that tells search engines and visitors what the page is about.
-
Supporting subheadings (H2, H3, etc.) to break up content.
-
Clear page titles and meta descriptions (we’ll cover this in Part 2).
Example for a chiropractor:
H1: Comprehensive Chiropractic Care in Brighton
Welcome to [Your Clinic Name], offering expert chiropractic care for back, neck and joint pain in Brighton.
H2: Back Pain Relief in Brighton
Our chiropractors specialise in targeted adjustments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
H2: Sports Injury Recovery
We help athletes recover faster with tailored chiropractic treatments.
Trade Tip: Use your town name naturally throughout your copy, especially in headings. It’s great for local SEO and helps attract nearby clients.
Use Internal Links
Link between pages or blog posts where it makes sense. This helps search engines crawl your site more efficiently and keeps visitors exploring more of your content.
For example: If you have a page about “Aromatherapy Massage for Back Pain”, link to the product pages you recommend, or to your blog on “Essential Oils for Muscle Recovery”.
Optimise Your Images
Every image on your site should have alt text, a short description of the image. This improves accessibility and helps Google understand the content better.
Instead of “image1.jpg” use:
Alt text: “Aromatherapist using essential oils for massage therapy”
